I am so grateful and excited to receive the following email from the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden this morning:

"We are pleased to inform you that the jury has selected your work to be included in the 2010 Garden Gallery Exhibition at the Arboretum.  Listed are the paintings that were selected for the show: InKoiry and Arboretum Waterfall.  Your artwork will be on display in the DeGolyer house now through April 12."

InKoiry

Another one of the beautiful scenes at the Dallas Arboretum is their Koi pond.  The markings on this fellow are the actual spots - a big question mark!!  Another park visitor pointed him out to me. It gave me a chuckle, and I hope you enjoy it, too!  I call this "InKoiry" - get it?

Kylie's Masterpiece

My granddaughter calls me "Uma." Kylie and I spent the afternoon painting pansies. She did a beautiful job, painting with water and then charging in purple to feather through the wet paper.

They were lovely, but the best was yet to come.  When bathtime came, my little artist used soap-paint to create the most beautiful masterpiece I've ever seen.

Aboretum Waterfall

I recently visited the Dallas Arboretum on a rainy, cold afternoon and was surprised to see how beautiful it still was on such a dismal day.  This waterfall caught my eye with its textural stone and the splashy water.
